Creating a Pin

In order to place reserves online and to check your own record, you will need a PIN. Your PIN can be any combination of letters, numbers, or characters up to 30 characters long. Choose a PIN you can remember easily. You will need to type it, along with your name and barcode, each time you access your record.  If you forget your PIN, staff at the Circulation Desk can delete the old PIN, and you can enter a new one on the computer catalog. You can establish a PIN online, either when you place a reserve, or via the Check Your Record screen. Follow these instructions:

Create a Pin Login

  • A screen will come up asking for your name, barcode (library card number) and PIN.
  • Type your name exactly as it appears on your library card.
  • Enter the 14-digit barcode that appears on your library card.
  • At <Enter Your PIN>: enter your chosen PIN.  The first time you do this you will be asked to enter it again.
  • Click the “Submit” button.
    The next screen should say You are logged into SWAN /All Libraries as...
